SEA WORLD RESORT SMASHES NATIONAL SALES RECORD
Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast has again broken its own record for travel deals by generating almost $8.7 million in revenue and selling in excess of 46,000 room nights in an 11 day campaign in partnership with Cudo.com.au.
The award-winning Resort, part of Melbourne based international entertainment and media company Village Roadshow Limited, has sold over 8700 five-night family holiday packages, meaning an additional 30,450 people coming to the Gold Coast.
Sea World Resort General Manager Bikash Randhawa said the result cemented Sea World Resort’s status as one of the top resorts for families in Australia.
“The Cudo campaign was assisted by Sea World Resort’s strong brand reputation and the fact we are continuing to focus on creating the greatest customer experience for guests,” Mr Randhawa said.
“We are continuously making investments at Sea World Resort with newly renovated rooms, the installation of free Wi-Fi, the introduction of new buffet options at the award-winning Shoreline Restaurant and all new Conference Centre due to open in June 2015.
“Sea World also has some amazing new shows and attractions coming soon with a new Dolphin Show and Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters arriving in park in December along with Creatures From the Deep in June 2015.

Despite Australia being a far smaller market than the United States, Cudo’s Sea World offer is the seventh highest selling flash deal of all time globally and Cudo CEO, Adam Schwab puts this down to the allure of Sea World Resort.
“Families love the Cudo Sea World Resort offer because it gives them the opportunity to have the trip of a lifetime for a great price,” Mr Schwab said.
The revenue for the offer makes it one the most successful online offers of any type. The Sea World Resort offer is the only Australian offer to appear in the top 10 global deals which are dominated by the United States. On a per capita basis, the Sea World Resort deal is easily the most successful in internet history.
